Week 30 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Howdy Everyone!

This week I have learned quite a lot about the Plan of Salvation and I
am so very grateful for it. I know that everything happens for a
reason.

To start my week, we went bowling as a district and I almost got 3
strikes in the last frame, but I missed a few pins on my last try. It
was awesome though because I was so far behind and then came back and
got second. I thought it was pretty sweet! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

Some tender mercies really happened this week. It really was an off
week for us finding wise. I felt like we didn't do a whole lot, but
looking back a lot of stuff happened. This upcoming week is going to
be awesome! It's all because of the wonderful plan that my Heavenly
Father has in store. I could really feel Him leading us to where we
needed to be. IT WAS AWESOME!!! πŸ’œπŸ˜Š

The first thing was Zone Conference. We had it on Thursday at 9 am. We
got up and got ready and we were actually going to be on time. Well
the night before our tire pressure light came on and we thought
nothing of it and we just planned and got into bed. Well we paid for
that in the morning. Sister Dillman had an idea to check all the
pressures in the tires before we left  then that's when we found it. A
flat tire! Well so much for being on time for us! We had no clue how
we were going to get to Cookeville for Zone Conference! Sister Dillman
had an idea to call the mission office. We called and the Sister there
told us that the other couples going to Zone Conference had already
left, so she gave us one of their numbers so we could call. We called
and turns out they were just getting to the Crossville exit! WHAT!?
Talk about miracle! We were so excited! I felt like Ammon in Alma 26!
It wasn't us, but it was our Heavenly Father! We actually made it on
time to Zone Conference too, with two minutes to spare! It was an
awesome Conference! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

President sent out an email a few weeks ago telling us what to prepare
for Zone Conference. We had to prepare an experience where the Holy
Ghost helped us. Once I read that email I felt sure that President was
going to call on me. Well sure enough when it came to that point in
the Conference I was the second person called on! It was a good time
though. I am so grateful for the companionship of the Holy Ghost in my
life. I know that I wouldn't be where I am today without it! πŸ˜³πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

Some more tender mercies happened the following day! Friday was
actually pretty good! We went to visit one of the recent converts so
we could get her new member lessons going again. Well turns out we had
to reschedule because her mom wasn't home and she was doing chores and
forgot we were coming over that day. We were headed back to the car
and I felt like we should go knock on this potential investigator's
door. Turned out that she moved four days prior. We had no clue what
we were going to do next!  As we were walking back to the car a guy in
a truck asked us if we were the new missionaries. We were so excited!
We got to talking and turns out the Elders before us were teaching
him, but he ended up moving and getting a new phone number and didn't
tell the Elders,  so they lost contact with him! He told us that he
was excited to take lessons and that he wanted a Book of Mormon. We
are way excited to teach him on Saturday! This guy seems golden! It'll
be great teaching somebody for a change! 😊 My Heavenly Father is just
amazing! Did y'all know that!?

After we got done talking to this golden guy. We went to look for some
more investigators that the Elders left us. We went to find this guy
and his wife answered the door. Usually the wife gets very defensive
when two young girls asking for their husband knock on the door. She
was pretty cool though and let us know when we could come back. They
seem pretty promising too! 😊 I am so excited for this next week!

We definitely do have a plan and reasoning for everything! 😊 I am
definitely glad that I don't have to go through anything alone. I
always have my Savior, my Heavenly Father, the Holy Ghost, my
companion, my family and friends. I am just so blessed and this week
has really opened my eyes to that! Thank you all for everything that
you have done for me! πŸ’œπŸ˜Š I am so grateful for everything that I have
been given!

Remember that the church is true, the book is blue, and I love you!
πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ Have a fandidalytastic week!

Love,
Sister Jacob

Week 29 - Working hard brings Blessings

Sup Everyone!

So I told y'all false information last week! Sister Dillman is
actually from Spanish Fork!

Well this week we have had about 34 hours of finding! Like we have
been killing it here. It's insane! The Ward is so sweet and they just
love us which makes me feel great! Lots of work to be done, but that's
okay because that is why I'm here!

We have had a lot of tender mercies this week! When we have felt we
had done all that we can to find people in this area our Heavenly
Father has shown us that we are working hard and shows us who we need
to see. We have gotten two referrals in the last two places that we
have tracted in and they seem so promising! I can't wait to see where
it goes, but I know this area will lead to great things!

Not really much is going on besides working hard and trying to get
this area up and going again! I love being out here and serving the
Lord! I definitely know that I have been sent here for a reason!
Thanks for all that y'all do for me and the inspiring words! I know
that prayers are definitely answered and that we have a Heavenly
Father watching out for us!

Remember that the church is true, the book is blue, and I love you!
Have an awesome week and day! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

Week 28 - TRANSFERS!!!! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜³πŸ˜œ

Howdy Y'all!

Well it was transfers and I was transferred! I was transferred to
Crossville, TN with Sister Dillman. She is from American Fork, UT. We
were whitewashed in which means we are both new to the area and we
know absolutely nobody! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜³πŸ˜œ It's pretty exciting! Where is
Crossville, TN?? Well it's kinda in the middle of nowhere on a
plateau! It is so flat here! I sure do really miss my mountains, but
it's a good change. I can actually look around and see things instead
of just looking at green trees all the time!

In the beginning of the week I just said bye to everyone and packed.
Did some finding and tried to teach a few lessons. Then I was
transferred on Wednesday and man, it has been a great transfer
already! We didn't know anything about the area, so we basically just
tried to talk to as many people in the Ward as possible! When we first
got to the area we got a text from one of the recent converts Debby!
President Griffin absolutely loves Debby! She is the reason that
Sisters are now in the area! She is an awesome missionary! She has her
own missionary cabinet full of pamphlets and Book of Mormons! Like
it's awesome! She has handed out more Book of Mormons than probably
all the missionaries in this mission combined! It's insane! I just
love her so much! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

We have just been trying to talk to as many people as possible the
last few days. We have no clue who anyone is, but we are getting an
idea! This Ward is awesome, lots of work to do, but I know they will
get there. We walked in to church on Sunday and I felt like a
celebrity! They haven't had Sisters in awhile, so they Ward was so
excited to see us! I can't wait to get to know everyone! They seem
awesome! It's gonna be a great time here, I can already see it! 😊

Other than getting to know people and getting settled in not too much
to report on. I love this gospel so much and I know my Heavenly Father
has a plan for me! I have things I need to learn and improve on, but
I'm working on it and I know that everything happens for a reason!
Thank you for all your love and support! Y'all are the best! Miss you
and love you! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

Week - 27 : 6 MONTHS! WHAT?!!?!?!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œπŸ˜

Hey Y'all!

So this week is transfers and I am going to Crossville, Tennessee and
my new companion is Sister Dillman. I have mixed feelings, but that
happens to me every transfer because I'm just a mixed feeling mess.
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜œ I know it's where I need to go now. I know I'll love it there
anyway! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

This week was blazing hot and I felt like I was going to die most of
the time. Why does it have to be so hot. My comp and I talked about
this and we think that there should only be two seasons Spring and
Fall. I think I'd totally be fine with that. 😜

Not much to report besides it was my 6 month mark on Wednesday!  It
was awesome! I burned a scarf and everything! Other than that we
knocked on some doors and tried to talk to some people. Not too many
wanted to talk to us though. That's okay because one day hopefully
they will want to. I think the longest day of finding we got was 8
hours!! That is a whole school day! This area has some great potential
and some growing opportunity. One day it will get there and it'll be
amazing! I love this area, it's my home away from home. My new one
will be just as great though! I can feel it! 😊

I hope all of you have had a great week! I just want to thank you all
for your love and support and prayers! You all have inspired me in one
way or another and have gotten me to this point in my life! Thank you
so much! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

I know this is the true church. If it wasn't then Satan wouldn't be
working so hard to tear it down. I love this gospel and it's
teachings. I know as we live it that our families will become closer
as we draw closer to Christ. There is a great work about to come forth
and I'm happy to be able to see it. The mission is hard, but totally
worth it. Days of knocking on doors, walking until your feet hurt,
sweating so much that you didn't even know you had that much water in
your body, meeting new people and loving complete strangers enough to
want to help them. Being on a mission does something to you that helps
improve yourself as a person. I found out what having charity means
and why it is so important and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus
Christ. I love this church. I know it's true! I say these things in
the name of Jesus Christ, amen. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

Remember the church is true, the book is blue, and I love you! Have a
fandidalytastic week! Thoughts and prayers out to all of you! Thank
you! πŸ’œπŸ˜Š
